Essex artist, Jay Havighurst creates wood and aluminum sculptures. They combine materials to produce sound and involve audience participation through playing. One historical sound piece commissioned by seARTS, Sounds of a Shipyard, was performed outdoors at the Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum. It created a soundscape of an Essex shipyard.
