David Neligan has been involved in antiques since 1977 beginning his career in New York with rare book dealer John Fleming. He was a generalist at Christies for five years and then Department Head at Skinner in Boston. Once located at 144 Main Street in Essex, the shop moved to a larger space at 38 Main Street, now with an additional showroom at 32 Main Street.
